There is an increasing concern about the impact of buildings on Climate Change since they account for more that 40% of total energy usage. Green buildings are a great solution, but currently they have strong barriers for growth due to their higher cost of construction.
Power distribution systems have had little improvement since the original patents of Thomas Edison and Nicola Tesla, developed at the beginning of the twentieth century. This fact reinforces the need for more efficient and competitive power technologies that will allow every building to potentially became a green building, and also to be on its way to eventually being upgraded to a competitive net zero energy building. Power distribution is a key cost factor for green buildings.
This Blog came to be as a discussion panel to promote and broadcast news, technical information and scientific advances that can help to fulfill this urgent need.
