30 of the UK’s largest companies unveil fresh pledges to tackle climate change in support of government’s Green GB Week
HSBC, Amazon, EDF Energy, and John Lewis Partnership are among 30 big businesses to ramp up their climate commitments this week in support of the government’s Green GB Week initiative.
From accelerating the roll out of green delivery vehicles to boosting green energy investment, the companies have promised a range of actions to slash their environmental impact.
One of the largest pledges came from banking giant HSBC, which has today promised to invest £250m in green energy infrastructure via its UK pension scheme, in a move it said would “support the UK’s low-carbon industries and associated supply chains”.
