One of the common complaints about rooftop solar panels is that they’re not attractive.
Some people don’t like the combination of a metal frame and racking disrupting the architectural lines of a home. Depending on how the home is oriented to the sun, the panels may be able to be mounted where they’re not easily visible.
But there’s more than one way to integrate solar panels into a home’s design.
Lumos Solar recently reviewed an installation of their LSX frameless solar panels into a beautiful backyard patio. Twenty-four of the panels were incorporated as part of the roof itself. To achieve this
custom, architecturally unique patio cover required the combined efforts of Acme Solar Solutions and Lumos Solar.
According to Lumos, the homeowner was very happy with the solution:
“Acme Solar met the challenges in our project and completed it on time and for the price quoted. We are very pleased with the system’s performance, which is better than projections, and with the appearance, which gets rave reviews from our guests — it is truly impressive. Acme employees were very professional and it was a pleasure to do business with the company.”
